It is the time of gift giving again. You already have your long list of recipients. All of them will be receiving their gifts in reusable bags this year. You cannot stomach how much waste is produced by the multitude of wrapping paper torn and discarded en masse every year. You refuse to be a part of that any longer. You gave the gifts considerable thought as well as the bag where the packages will be contained. In doing this, you want to encourage your friends and family to refuse, reuse and recycle. It may be a cliche but the words are catchy and make perfect sense. Nobody wants to live in a world full of trash and it is only logical that you do not participate in practices that will lead to that end.
You have already ordered the bags and they are on their way. Your den is turning into a warehouse for gifts since you only have less than a month to go before giving them out to friends, family, colleagues, and co-workers. You also ordered seed paper for your holiday cards. You feel good knowing that you thought of giving away a gift that keeps on giving while spreading good cheer. The card itself is a gift to the earth. Once planted, the seeds are given a chance to grow and flourish. You like the idea that even after the holidays, people will be reminded of the gift you gave as the seeds grow into mature plants.
